Sometimes I feel bad for all the other mothers out there. I mean, they know their child is the most beautiful on earth. Until, that is, they see the actual most beautiful, perfect child ever born.

Behold the evidence. If you don't agree that you've never laid eyes on such a creature, I dare you to tell me to my face.

If Field & Stream Had Their Act Together, you would see my hubby's handsome picture and most excellent doings on their Heroes of Conservation website.

Since they clearly don't, and have not updated since 2010, I get the distinct honor to do it! Field & Stream, a NATIONAL hunting & fishing magazine, has named Mr. Erik Myre a "Hero of Conservation!" Each month they choose just three every day enthusiasts who are doing extraordinary things for the outdoors.

The article mentions how E and the local Delta Waterfowl chapter hold an annual youth outdoors festival, take kids & women hunting, build hen houses, the list goes on! Although I don't see much of these actual events, I see how much time and effort Erik puts into his passion. He's being very low-key about the whole thing and not wanting to take credit, but he truly is a HERO!



For the public record, he's my hero every time he:
~ plays play doh with our baby girl
~ grills us a delicious supper
~ snuggles on the couch
~ waits for me at the bottom of the ski hill
~ takes us for a walk outside
~ goes with me to do something I want to do

He is my hero every day!
