I Got Happy Mail!

Last night, while sifting through the usual bills, magazines, and AARP information (WTF?) my eyes scanned across an address reading "Big Picture Classes!" I was immediately excited, because I knew I had gotten "Happy Mail!"

I've been a "member" at Big Picture Scrapbooking since they started five whole years ago. Get this, to celebrate THEIR birthday, TEHY sent gifts to 500 of their 10,713 members - and I GOT ONE!



I pulled out each item one at a time with increasing anticipation. I mean, really. Its cool to get anything in the mail if it doesn't cause you an outlay of cash, right?

There was a cute little note, a giant green rubber band - oh the green! - to wrap around an album, folder, who knows what! A mouse pad, super cute orange pen & notebook, and two little pins. But my fave fave of all is the little "practice kindness" cards. You are supposed to share them with others as little happy notes, and when you pop them open there is a cute little inspirational quote inside!

My Kind of Boot-tay

I love these. I want these boots. I covet these boots.




I've been watching the adventures of these boots, and the power they have given the Pioneer Woman. In the last year she has worn them at signings of her bestselling cookbook, in the W hotel in NYC, and while making the most delicious looking caramel rolls I've ever seen in her newly renovated lodge with concrete countertops. I would assume she has also worn them while tackling the mounds of laundry created by four ranch kids, but I'll stick to my crocs for that.

So, all you people who love & adore me. Its time to prove that love. They can be found at Bloomies, and even shipped directly to me. Don't waste your money on the gift wrapping option offered at checkout. Said Christmas paper would just be ripped to smitherines which is sure to remain on the living room floor while I sit eating bonbons with my new boot cladded feet propped up on the coffee table.
