The Thought That Counts

I'm not sure that a "I tried" or "I was going to" is really anywhere as close to as good as "I did." However, sometimes I think the failed effort is sometimes 63 times harder than actually succeeding!

My mom used to make pancakes. Not just any pancakes, but pancakes in the shape of a "T" for me! Aunt Jane made RAINBOW cakes for her kiddos! B eats a lot of pancakes - so in an effort to do those great mamas proud, "I tried" and "I was going to."

Late Summer Fun

I'm nearly ready to admit its fall. But until it snows, summer will have to do.
We've been having lots and lots and lots of fun lately with every second of spare time spent outside before the aforementioned "fall" hits.

One regular outing includes a walk to the end of the driveway. Seems easy enough, right? Throw in a toddler who can spot a dandelion a mile away and going "that way" takes until the hunger kicks in. Luckily, she's planting even more puffballs for future walks!

Another special event was a visit to the Gullickson family punkin patch! These friends planted mound after mound of punkins and gourds, and rows of Indian corn - all for the pickin! It was an amazing day with friends, sunshine, wagon rides & treats!

I don't really know what's going on here. I blame her dad. But it IS summer!

74 degrees in the middle of October? To hell with blogging - we're off to the park!
