Min-eee-so-tah!

Part 2 of our Mehlan family adventure comin' at ya!

Mom says I don't like anything to change. I don't know if I agree with her, but I WILL admit that I like that she goes through the checklist of things she knows I love to do!

Like...

Angels on Horseback at Norway Beach. What? No pictures? Inconceivable! Instead, you can feast your eyes on B.

And CAKE! OK, so it isn't really a cabin tradition. But I really do loooove cake. Especially yummy Red Velvet to celebrate Zoe's birthday!

Dippin' my toes in the Mighty Missisip

Totally schooling everyone on how to fish (can't take the night crawlers out of the girl!)

And trips up the river

I'm also kinda digging some of the new stuff going on...

And mostly, this...

Lookin' Back

Stumbled on this snap of our sledding girl this winter. Almost makes me wish for winter.

On Relative Proximity, Water Sports, and Big Balls

To my absolute delight, there was lots of cousin-al bonding, uber yummy smores, and NO swimmers itch during our far to far between Mehlan mini-reunion on the shores of the Missisippi last week.

Mom said Grandma Dorothy Mehlan would have been so pleased to have us all together in the place she loved. But I think we did her one better - we actually had 3 families, and 3 generations of FUN!

Apparently someone DOES actually read this (hi Aunt Jane!) so I'll quit wasting my words and get on to the good stuff - the evidence!

Beware of anyone proclaiming to be a superior canoeist due to their Girl Scout Boundary Waters trips. Said offenders may even throw out impressive sounding nouns like "stern" verbs like "feather" in an attempt to elevate their perceived status.

This one makes me want to break into song. "There's four bumps on a log on the shores of the Mississippi" (Think "There's a bump on the log in the hole in the bottom of the sea!)

This "big ball" and well, this GIRL kept us all pretty busy. Funny, people call the Child "busy" but its everyone else who is running around!

"Big balls" are the funnest!

You can play catch with them.

You can chase them into the water.

You can play "so big!"

You can compare belly buttons.

Just one more shot of my darling cutie patootie at Norway Beach. Hey, its MY blog!

Stay tuned for more from our fantabulous vaca!
